Artist Talk: SoleƩ Darrell

Join California-based Bermudian artist Soleé Darrell in conversation with Eve Godet Thomas, Director of Exhibitions at Bermuda National Gallery. They will be discussing Offerings, Darrell’s first solo show in Bermuda. The exhibition builds on Darrell’s inclusion in the 2024 Bermuda Biennial, a key turning point in her career which marked both her first time exhibiting in Bermuda and in a museum setting.

Offerings presents seven large scale paintings created on stretched velvet, alongside a new site-specific installation created especially for the Bermuda National Gallery which pays homage to her home country and its enduring influence on her artistic practice. Artmaking is, for Darrell, as much a sacred practice as it is a creative one. Offerings invites the viewer to join her in meditation and reflection.
